Thrive provides educational and recreational opportunities that promote job readiness, social skills, and independent living. Equip has partnered with Valleydale Church to bring this opportunity to families in Shelby County and its surrounding areas.
Job Skills
We help participants explore different types of jobs that exist in their local communities and provide job-specific education and hands-on practice through workplace experiences.
Independent Living Skills
We provide education in cooking, hygiene, emergency preparedness, household skills, and many more topics relating to independent living.
Social Skills
We provide a place where participants can learn how to communicate, make friends, participate in appropriate conversations, and practice proper etiquette. Social skills instruction is integrated in recreational activities, field trips, shared mealtimes, games, and more.
